I am not qualified to determine whether or not something is in good taste. However, I am eminently qualified to determine whether or not something is in poor taste. I think this fundraiser might be in poor taste.
I don't know that I'll ever have the time to investigate a lot of these, but I feel like I should.
And drink rum. And talk like Roy. Its Talk Like a Pirate Day again.
Here's a POV from the bad guy's side:
John, never go to Houston. The municipal transit has been practicing. It has a thirst for blood.
And other musicians' real names.
I thought it was fun and the site is blank.
Others of you may have already known this, but our website is listed as a reference (#5) for Beer Pong on Wikipedia. Anyway, I thought that was cool.
One part Sprite, three parts Sloe Gin, was that it? And what, exactly, were to happen if he made that kick?
Ooh, ooh, ooh....

So I've been in Guam for a few days working on an array. It's a neat place, and has a ton of natural beauty, but it wasn't quite as nice as I had pictured. Driving around reminds me a little of Newark or something, except not as densely populated. So the island is sort of like a ghetto Hawaii.
There's the typical touristy area with Hard Rock Cafe, and Prada and Gucci stores. I've been trying to stay away from there and eat at more local places. There's no shortage of Japanese sushi, so I had that last night. I even had some Jamaican food - I know Jamaica is nowhere near Guam, but you don't see Jamaican specialty restaurants anywhere.
So I leave in 15 minutes to go board the ship and ride it for 6 days. This will not be fun, as I have nothing to do during the trip. I'm basically there in case stuff breaks, and they need it fixed. As boring as the trip will be, I will end up in Hong Kong, and then I'm going to take a ferry to Macau, a special region of China that has legalized gambling (like Hong Kong, it also has its own government and currency). Apparently more money is gambled in Macau that the money bet on the Vegas strip, so it should be pretty wild.
Fun Guam point of interest: Roto-o-Pope - In order to celebrate Pope JPII's visit to Guam some time in the 80's, they built him a statue: it rotates once every 24 hours. Very cool.
