A gentleman at the Wizards game last night took home a fortune in fabulous prizes just for showing up and being the 25 millionth fan. Among his schwag was Dunkin Donuts coffee for a year, Papa John’s pizza for a year and Chipotle burritos for a year. What, exactl,y consitutes (Random Product) for a year? Unlimited purchase? One product per day? Does anyone have any idea how they actually determine this and what the amount is?
Posted by John at March 6, 2008 01:30 PMexcellent question. i know at ASU they have shooting contests and if you make a layup it's a free Papa John's pizza. if you make a free throw it's a month, a 3-pointer is a year, and half court is $2500 toward tuition. So clearly, they value a years worth of pizza at quite a bit less than $2500. If you were buying a pizza at $10 a pop, then one a day for a year is $3650, so maybe they restrict it to less than one a day? I know that when Kramer settled his spilled-coffee lawsuit, he got unlimited cafe lattes, with no restrictions.

So this place lets you get one pizza a month, with a maximum value of $18. And you have to pick them up.
The Penguins also give you one, 1-topping pizza per month.
ABC's "The Bachelor" has a promotion where you get 24, 1-topping pizzas.
Pizza Hut's 'Describe the Crunch' promotion promises you free pizza for a year, but then gives you a $599 gift card. $50 a month/$12 a week ain't too bad.
Some Canucks give you two specific pizzas once a month.
So, they all suck. I mean, a $600 is pretty decent, as I probably wouldn't want more than once pizza a week. But when I was in college, I probably would've eaten more. The one pizza a month contests are a joke.
