OK, so me and my friend Mike Reed were on a work trip in Carson City/Reno/Tahoe a few weeks ago. We decided that a good project would be to see how many different ways there are to open a beer bottle using common objects found in hotel rooms.
It should be noted that our last "work day" consisted of only about 3 hours of work. We then got taken to lunch, then hung out and gambled in Reno, then hit up a bar. We then remembered we had to do our 'project' and came back.
It's a wonder that my work even lets us go on trips together.
Below is a montage of 10 of the videos we took. In summary:
1) Using the drain in a tub (it has a groove underneath it)
2) Same as #1, except holding onto it so it doesn't fall off
3) Using a door jam/bolt dealie. Not very successful.
4) Using the faucet of a tub - the bottle cap was already loose though
5) Trying to use the lip of an iron
6) Using the tip of the iron
7) Using the lip of a trash can. Hilarity ensues. And a cut finger somehow.
8) Using a hanger clip - the dealie that holds up pants. It's not a good video, but it's a great method!
9) Using the underneath track in an ironing board. Very easy to do.
10) Really, the trash can is a bad idea.
