So it's no Havertown pub crawl, but I'm managing to have an okay time in Okinawa. It took about 27 hours to get to the hotel from BWI, which wasn't too bad ($11,000 tickets this time). I'm spending all day here today because I had to do my midterm for the class I'm taking now. I finished up a little while ago, and then decided to go for a walk. It turns out that aside from fancy toilets and seedless watermelon, the Japanese have also invented 200% humidity. I'm now safely back in the confines of the hotel, where I may be stuck for the night - I'm not exactly 'downtown', and there's no mass transit, and cabs are very expensive. But, I think this is one of the nicer hotels, and it has a bar with a great view of the harbor, so it might be fun.
This is my view from the 4th floor - the hotel is basically on the top of a mountain. Which made the walk back from the beach extra fun.

Nice view. When are you getting back?
Just to make you jealous of the pub crawl....
I miss the pub crawl. If it counts, I was with you in spirit - Saturday I drank an entire flask of Jameson in the Haight twaiting for the goddamn 71 bus.
