Commutes

Between Chad, Nathan and myself, quite a few of us spend over 2 hours a day commuting, although some of us more than others (Chad :p). I don't believe any of us have it this bad. Anyway, I thought this was interesting.

That's a really good article. I love the fact that the one guy drives a '96 Probe. Too bad it isn't red. That, and the "practical" advice his pastor gives him, like "She says it helps to tell the devil to get out of the car, even if you have to pull over to the side of the road, stop and say: 'Devil, get out of my car. " Yes, very practical.

I also think, if you have a crazy home life, you can have too short of a commute. With not enough downtime for yourself. Not nearly the same as 5 hours in the car though.

This guy has the longest commute in America, as certified by the experts at, well, Midas muffler shops. But he drives 370 miles a day. WTF.

My commute is approximately 8 blocks.

I don't mind the commute at all. Like Pat says, it's good downtime. Crank up the stereo, fart a few times, flick off the asian chick talking on the cell-phone driving 40 in the 55 zone...sounds like heaven to me...

Yeah - that's one of the things I don't miss from D.C. at all. My commute here is 10 minutes each way. And we're moving to a new house that's going to cut my commute in half.

I don't know, I figure about 30 minutes each way is my limit. More than that and I don't have enough time to spend with my daughter.
