Bears Repeating: Duke Sucks Hard

Duke: We will allow you to study here, and give you full access to the campus and athletic events, but you can't stand in line for basketball tickets. You might threaten our inflated and overblown sense of self-worth.

God forbid someone wears pastel blue in a sea of regular blue. In other news, can you think of one team that wears blue that you'd support? Seriously. Used to be Colts, but nah, not since the Mayflower trucks and Johnny U's death. Capitals? Suck. Wizards? Dodgers? Who cares. Kentucky?

Blue is integral to the Amsterdam Admirals jersey, yes, but they really wear orange and white...so tey're allowed. Blue teams suck.

Are you kidding me?:
"Duke's student senate voted last month to bar UNC Chapel Hill's Robertson scholars from Krzyzewskiville, saying their actions ruined the game for many Duke students last season."

You know what ruined it for you? Losing 83-76. Grow a pair.
This is a UNC Opinion.

A Duke opinion.

Man that Duke column was poorly written. "Thanksgiving is right around the corner..," and that horrid cliche is as far from germaine as possible considering it's a column about a sporting event. And I really hope he was kidding about buying that Albom book.

At least they've given their tent crap a catchy, easy-to-promote name like Krzyzewskiville. Idiots.

Only marginally related nonsense, but perhaps those of you who have more than a TV sitting precariously on a dresser can try it out.

Quality post and comments here. John captured my sentiment that the student actions didn't ruin the game, losing did. I imagine that if Duke had won they would have loved having UNC fans right there to berate.

More importantly, if we are to believe what they say is true, what difference does it make. Let's suppose that the student presence did ruin the game for the Duke students. What right do the students, or any spectators for that matter, have to enjoy the game? What are the grounds for a specator being banned because they cause someone else not to enjoy the game? If you're standing in the row in front of me during the whole game and I want to sit, I may be pissed at you, but what justification do I have for you being banned? Clearly spectator violence is one reason, but saying you "ruined the game for me"? What if you answered the scoreboard trivia question while I was still thinking about it? What if you bought french fries and I don't like the smell of french fries?

I can sum this up with my new favorite expression: Hard to believe.

Damn Roy, you accounted for violence...halfway through your post I had decided that grounds to bar a spectator, where Dook basketball is concerned, should involve water bottles.

I have modified my T-shirt plans. My white-on-red "Fuck D**e" shirts have been supplanted by white on baby blue.

Clearly, anyone should be allowed in a game, especially those willing to sleep outside for a weekend. Of course, anyone standing in front of me with a "D (section of picket fence)" sign will accidentally get beer spilled on them, and that crazy Russian lady with the goddamn cowbell at M&T Bank - who doesn't even know the rules fo American football (literally) - yeah, I was done being nice to her. Sit next to that for four hours.

Jimmy didn't like that.

Jimmy's girlfriend looks pissed.
