Random notes from my week in Philly
- Sports talk radio here is an exercise in complete lunacy. The highlight for me has been sound bites of the guy who seems to be the Eagles top kick return man, none other then Bruce Perry. Not only is he confident is his kick return game, but he also said he has the running style to be the power back in the offense. Seriously. The Maryland fan and the Eagles fan in me wishes it wasn't so, but I've heard the clips several times.
- I have a new favorite Havertown cheesesteak place. Thunderbird pizza right around the corner from Wawa. It's convenient, has quality food (provided you let the wrapper soak up the excess grease), and the employees have just the right amount of attitude.
- Justin and I went minature golfing on Tuesday. I used my new Ping G5i putter that I got from CJ, my brother in law and golf nut (I think he's a single digit handicap) who has been making commercials for Ping. Aside from posting my best score on my nemesis hole, I sank a hole in one on the 19th hole, winning a free game. This amazed and delighted my nephew to no end. I relate this story because it seems some readers of this site have gone to considerable trouble to devise elaborate schemes and hoaxes about weddings and golf outings with future father in laws which I know are merely cover stories to get me onto a golf course. Well I'll be there. And my Ping G5i putter will be there with me, and I will smoke all of you on the greens. You've been warned.

- Bruuuuuuuuce Perry. (Kind of a Baseketball reference, nevermind).
- There are too many "e"s in "cheesesteak." And not enough real cheese.
- I once shot a 19 at the caveman-themed Old Pro golf in O.C. I was completely baked and barely remember it. But my friend Morgan, whom none of you ever met, which is convenient, was there, and the guy in the little putter hut hung up my name...so I have to think it happened exactly like I semi-recall. Of course, I can't break 19 in two holes of real golf. And by real golf, I mean "large-scale croquet."

OOHOOH...A reason for me to talk about golf..
Last year I got the PING I5 irons and G2 driver. Love 'em. Roy, you're on.
I played 9 holes a few nights ago, and was even par...36...good times.
