And you think we drink a lot

A property manager was asked to check out an occupied townhouse in Ogden, Utah, only to discover that he couldn't get in the front door. Coming around to the back of the house, he saw the reason. The townhouse was filled with 70,000 beer cans. The tennant had been living in these piles of Coors Light for eight years. Which means he managed to average 24 beers a day, and was living in that house with the water turned off...

Huh. I don't know why, but for some reason this stuck out to me: "The cans were recycled for 800 dollars, an estimated 70,000 cans: 24 beers a day for 8 years." I remember when I was a kid, one of my friends got the bright idea to recycle soda cans to try to make some money. This makes it seem kind of pointless - eight years worth of accumulated cans from a raging alcoholic was only worth $800. $8.33 per month. I bet Rick throws out more change than that from McDonalds.
