Feeling Old

So I'm watching some Family Guy with my new best friend last night, and it''s the Petoria episode, the one with Clinton sitting naked in the Oval Office. And she kind of wonders out loud, "why didn't they use Bush? It can't be that old...". And I'm doing the math, and if Bushy is on year 6, then...yes, old. Time to feel old: Family Guy premiered over 7 years ago. What the hell.

John - which Super Bowl did it come on after? '99, '98 season - that's when the Niners stomped the Falcons, right? Go Niners. First TD was a post pattern to Rice, I remember that much. '98 Niners - best team on Madden, evar. Enough babbling.

I hope you are kidding. The 49ers can't play the Falcons in the Super Bowl. Anyway, it ran in '99 when the Broncos beat the Falcons and Falcon DB Eugene Robinson won like the NFL Man of the Year award the day before the game and promptly solicited a prostitute that same night or something. The 49ers won in January of '95, and hit Rice with a TD pass before 90 seconds had elapsed in the game.

Yeah I was serious, but I'm freaking tired. And I'm twisted, because I've been playing a lot of Madden as the Niners and the Falcons. But had I spent nine seconds on it, yeah, I would have realized what an idiot I am.

9 seconds, huh? Takes the rest of us about two seconds to realize what an idiot you are. (By the way, why wasn't Nate the first one to post this?)

Seriously though, it doesn't seem like its been that long since FG came out, but I guess with that Fox-induced hiatus and our addiction to the DVDs my concept of time has become a bit warped.

Okay, now I'm the idiot. I try to be a geek-poser and start my reply with "gratuitous slam" in those silly sideways carats used in HTML and then finish the first sentence with "/gratuitous slam", and the TT software removed my tags. This show stinks.

Yeah, I remove bad tags. But if you enclose the letters "lt" in brakcets ("[ ]"), you'll get a less-than sign. "gt" gets you the greater-than sign.

So [ lt ] (without spaces) gets you this: [lt].

I could, you know, actually write this down in some sort of TT User's Guide, but that's a lot of work, and it's more fun to keep you guys guessing. If it matters, that's the only friendly replacement I do on the fly. All the other replacements have to do with converting old-school html into new XHTML hotness. Like [lt]center[gt] becomes "style='text-algin: center;'" and such.
