Kids won't have teeth because pirates don't have teeth. It's all about historical accuracy.

cocoa treated with alkali? Isn't alkali like some sort of acid that makes things be other things (chemistry: always a strong suit). In other news, I wish to be blasting across the alkali flats in a jet-powered, monkey-navigated...
