I thought this was pretty cool.

I don't get it. If you read it like a family tree, there are a bunch of errors. If you read it as a list of London artists, there are a bunch of errors. Where is this from?

Well, I read his piece, and it is an interesting idea, and a difficult endeavor. What I can't get my head around is how the creator allows a band from, say, the '90s can come before a band from, say, the 60's. Like, if I told you Anthony Hamilton was informing the music of Luther Vandross, you could only make that argument if you disregarded time, and I dont think that can be done with music.

You know what I mean? How the hell is Basement Jaxx between Michael Jackson and Al Green? And I think it's weird to say the Clash came out of Jimmy Cliff (they did) and Hendrix (they didn't).

Anyway, it's a neat project.
