Lest there was any doubt remaining after our internet pollution of the last few years, UMD students do some dumb, dumb shit. Now, it goes all the way to FARK. And this woman is 43 YEARS OLD. What kind of nonsense will we be pulling in 15-20 years?
Feels good to see all the spots from home talked about...Carderock, Greenbelt Target, the dumpster behind Wendy's...
Posted by Chris at December 22, 2005 11:52 PMNeat story I guess... and how does she not have the thesis saved on her computer? Weird. But yeah, gooo Wendy's dumpster.
And who the hell buys three vacuum cleaners? He must've gotten that Dyson shit. He's rolling mad deep in cleanliness now (coincidentally, I just got a vacuum cleaner a few hours a go. Unfortunately, I did not get to pay for it with a stolen credit card).
Posted by: Rick at December 23, 2005 12:29 AMHad to be a Dyson, it was like $450. Probably to resell it, because idiots eat that Dyson shit up. You reading this Casey? Stupid Dysons.
Speaking of vacuums, I just got one for the first time in my life. It was $40, and it does everything it's supposed to do. I hate vacuums.
Posted by: Chris at December 23, 2005 02:41 AMshe should have backed up her work, but i commend her for essentially freaking out and then getting to work on getting it back. if i lost my dissertation work...i shudder at the thought. not...capable...of...forming...thoughts...can't...breathe...
Posted by: roy at December 23, 2005 08:58 AMA criminal was hanging out near Springhill Lake? We have another vacuum? WTF is a Dyson?
Posted by: John at December 23, 2005 12:07 PMThey're the crunk vacuum cleaners. Basically they rely on generating little cyclones to separate all the dirt from the air, so there are no filters or bags to get clogged up and make the vacuum lose suction (our new one uses cyclonic action as well, but not for 100% of the process). Dyson is the engineer who went through like 3,000 prototypes before getting it working as well as it does. He also helped design the new Mini Cooper.

Does this mean you are going to run the vacuum cleaner into a jersey wall?
Posted by: John at December 23, 2005 02:03 PMDoes that mean he's not a very good engineer, since it took him 3000 prototypes to geta vacuum cleaner working properly?
In other news, I'm frustrated since it's 2:30 in the afternoon on the last fuckin' workday before Christmas, and instead of getting out a little early like I had hoped, I'm stuck working on a fuckin' project that won't fuckin' work right because the fuckin' assembly in Solidworks is all fucked up to hell and won't fuckin' rebuild right. FUCK! And every time I have to reload the fuckin' thing, it's so fuckin' big and memory intensive, that it takes it like 20 minutes to load. I haven't gotten a single fuckin' thing accomplished since noon, and I'm stuck on a fuckin' deadline of having to get this damned thing done before I leave today.
Merry Christmas.
