The stupidest idea since Anal Razors...

it's going to happen in our lifetime. and once it becomes a staple of sports viewing, you will never forget where you heard it first.

Remember I've been talking about radio transceivers in footballs for years...sensors under the field, never miss a ball spot or TD call again.

Is transceiver the right word?

It's a decent idea for football, as long as it's not overused. Maybe once a game if there's a good enough pass (gets a TD, has long yardage and a tight spiral) Once they get it working, they'll probablly use it for a few years and then stop. Didn't they have some crazy 3D type thing going for a while, where they would show different images from the line of scrimmage? It was gimmicky and AFAIK, they stopped using it.

Anywho, it's very feasible, so it shouldn't take them too long to get this working.

The transciever in the ball is something they could do as well, and for a lot of sports, but I don't think there's much of a demand for it. Hasn't that strike-zone sensor thing in baseball fallen out of favor? I think people still like to see refs make calls. But it would be pretty easy to detect TDs with a sensor.

Eyevision was sort of like that. It is funny because it is in spanish. Blah, blah, Shaun Williams, blah, blah, Sam Gash.

Oh, and I had to look up AFAIK to figure out what the hell it meant. You bastard.

It's still a stupid idea...

Fuck yes, that's the only play of that Super Bowl I remember. Why? Because I was passed out in the bathroom. Mike remembers: I wake up, everyone's playing beer pong. "Hey Mike, did we win?" "Yes." "Word, I'm out." Damn straight.

And I remember loving that stuff that's apparently called EyeVision. It was obvious Matrix-ripping-off, but seriously, you can see the line develop, then see the secondary as the QB lets go. Pretty cool.
