Last Tailgate

If any of you know me at all, you know my bizarre affinity for kickers. So it is rare that I blast one – but this Ennis fella has got to go. He single handedly took 5 years off my life last weekend. But no matter, he hit the one that won the game, so his life is spared for a week. That being said – where is the guy whose name sounds like Tunde?

Moving on – this weekend’s game is huge. If Maryland wants to go to a bowl game, the best way to do it would be to beat BC and NC State and make sure they get a slot. My favorite college football site doesn’t have us slotted for a game, basically because there are too many 6-5 teams. So why not just win 2 and be 7-4, huh?

As for the actual game, if you need a ticket, some are still available. Read the game info and the game notes if you like. And check out a soon-to-be Terrapin Tables spin off, www.wholanceball.com OK, that isn’t real, but he is pretty good.

Anyway, on to the Tailgating. Do the usual and click on the page and pick something to bring. The grill is currently MIA, and I am not sure when/if it will be back, so consider bringing something that is pre-made and can be heated up on the stove top. At this point, I plan on being in Lot 9B at 6 am (sunrise is at 6:54 am), assuming others will be there. This is the last tailgate of the year, so why the hell not!?! Weather looks good, although cold (sorry Roy), so I will see you all on Saturday – try not to start any fights at Cornerstone.

My goodness. It's almost the end of the football season already? See what happens when I don't have the John/Pat/Roy apartment to wander over to and be forced to watch sports. Left to my own devices, I watch nothing on TV but science & history shows, and read nothing on the Internet or in print except for science and history. It's a good thing I've got Irma around and this website to read, or I'd be completely out of touch with normal life.

And now that makes three seasons that I've been living in Texas, and I've only made it to one game that entire time. I'll have to make it a point to get up there for a game next year.
