"Thinking outside the box"

Interesting piece about purity pledges & what constitutes sex.

Yikes.... I've heard that teens that make these pledges have higher rates of oral sex, but 6 times more likely is a quite a lot. And 4 times as likely to try anal sex... yowza.

And how many people consider oral sex to be 'real' sex? 75% or so? A lot of people thought so during the Monica Lewinsky thing. I don't consider it sex though. If you can't sweat while doing it, it ain't sex in my book.

On a related note, I need $18 to get this shirt:
I gave my word to stop at third

Oh, and a golf-clap to Mr. Albers for the headline.

Yeah, because god forbid you give kids real sexual education. The current message of "be afraid...be very afraid" worked with alcohol and drugs so well...

...and where are all these teens into blowjobs and anal? I am waisting my time at college.

Rick, how the hell do you not sweat? Do you come not with a bang but with a whimper? Why am I thinking about your orgasm? Because I'm lonely, baby, that's why. How you doin'.

Well, at least now I know that the whole time I was making that distinction between real sex and oral sex, at least I wasn't the only person to think that way.

And yeah, Chris, you're right. I think Irma's going to have a good talk with Alex once she's old enough. Do you realize that Irma one time had a 13 year old patient who had gotten pregnant when she was 12? Never to early to tell your kids about the birds & the bees, I guess.
