For those of you who may watch Law & Order (it's kind of hard to miss these days), Jerry Orbach has died. I know he was Chris' favorite character, since he could name all the liquor stores within 5 miles of the Police Dept.
Posted by Nate at December 29, 2004 10:52 AMLady from Carmen Sandiego: "We're gonna have to canvass every liquor store in that four-block radius to see who bought 1947 Chez Syzzurp between 9 and 10 on Friday."
Coincidentally Minority Cop: "Damn Sarge, that must be like 25 stores."
Lenny, from like 90 fet away: "17. Of course, Big Joey at Al's Pool Hall on 134th keeps a bottle of MadDog stashed in the paper towel holder of the second floor ladie's room, so that might make it 18."
Lenny was t3h awesome. Orbach was apparently a really stand-up guy - AP's obituary has him as "one of the most honored performers of his generation," which must be nice to have on your tombstone. So, in honor of Lenny's ontinued battles with debilitating alcoholism, raise your glasses everyone.
