Just a quick note: Some features (like replying to posts) may be down for a while today. The company that hosts this site is getting hammered by people trying to put spam on this website and others like it. So they're making us change some files. I'll also add a new feature to help cut down on the spam that involves typing in a passcode. Hopefully the transition will be easy...
Posted by Rick at December 17, 2004 09:30 AMOkay, I think it's all set. You'll notice a new feature when posting comments - a small image that contains a 3-digit number will appear at the bottom. You'll have to enter the digits in a box below it in order to post/preview the comment. The idea beign that the numbers are easy for people to read, but automated spam programs cannot (since it's a low-contrast image, not actual text). Anyone who has bought tickets online has seen these, so everyone's probably familiar with them anyway. Please let me know if there are any problems or anyting associated with it.
