Sportstalk 1260 is going off the air and if being replaced by Air America, the liberal radio network. Which is great, because reception for 1260 extends from Chevy Chase to North Chevy Chase in my car. Rack Jim Rome, he is out.
Cartman's version of 'Oh Holy Night' was ranked as the worst Christmas song ever. The Demographic surveyed? "30-to-49-year-old women specifically recruited because they loved Christmas music and listened to all-holiday radio every year."
Apparently 26 is the average marrying age for men, and a number of us are 26, or will be soon, here is a guide for us single guys so that we can conform. Ok, so of the people who read this website, this is relevant to about 3 people.
Posted by John at December 10, 2004 01:17 PMSo, lets get a pool going - next to marry. Not to dig anyone a hole, but Roy and Rick are the clear favorites. I believe the rest of us are holding at a nice, even .5% to marry in the next five years. Of course, I'll probably get some girl pregnant and have to "do the right thing"...or I could just borrow Casey's new Dyson.
Posted by: Chris at December 10, 2004 01:54 PMI disagree with your favorites. I'm not sure you could dig bigger holes with a backhoe.

So I wasn't going to mention it, but now that Pat has brought it up, I might as well. No, Katie and I aren't engaged, but there is a pool amongst her family as to when it will happen. I forget what the buy-in was, but I think Katie's sister is holding the cash. I guess its not all that bad, but there's something about the idea that Katie's dad has put money on when I will allegedly pop the question that makes me somewhat uneasy.
Posted by: Mike at December 10, 2004 04:10 PMYay, Air America. You'd figure it would've been to DC sooner, but who knows how all that stuff works. Kind of sad it's at the expense of SportsTalk... didn't everyone else on this planet like that show? Or did it go downhill after Tony left?
And you wanna know what's sad? I was probably at the top of the marriage list three years ago, and now I'm back on it. Damn you all. At least I have a $100 riding on it with a guy at work. I think I have to only wait three more months before I cash in.
In future news, Judy is mad at me for betting on our relationship. More at 11:00.
Posted by: Rick at December 10, 2004 06:27 PMWord, yeah, I forgot about Mike...
All you guys should get married. Two words: open bar.
Posted by: Chris at December 10, 2004 09:13 PMKatie's dad is in on it? That is a shame. In other news, I have opinions of marriage, that are, let's just say, not conducive to it happening anytime soon. Of course, one of my prime sources is Kramer's speech to Jerry. Another reason is that i can't afford it (yes, I ate Ramen noodles yesterday).
And rick, none of us are surprised that after a brief hiatus, you're back on the list. We expect nothing less than that from Chip Noodle.
Posted by: roy at December 13, 2004 02:54 PMImagine, if you will, that your family has money riding on your life. What would the wagers be like?
