Even though I'm not the biggest sports guy out there, I was excited for Boston last night in winning the ALCS, so I figured it deserved it's own discussion. Also, let us note that we all need World Series tix because we could sell them for a lot of money. Or, you know, use them. Also, what are the odds that the Sox lose to some freak grand slam in the 9th inning of game 7?
Posted by Rick at October 21, 2004 09:26 AMI thought they were going to lose 3-2 last night because they sent Damon in the first inning and he got thrown out at home. Should have held him with Ortiz coming up (as Mr. Fisher predicted). Obviously it didn't matter, but I thought that was how it was going to go down.
I could retire on selling those tickets.
Posted by: Pat at October 21, 2004 10:01 AMCheck out stubhub.com. They have it broken down by games. There are Game 7 tickets on there for over $11,000 each. Good lord.
I actually checked out the Red Sox website to see if they were releasing any more tickets today. No dice. But if they were, I was going to buy as many as possible and eithrr ebay them, or - if I had to pick them up in will call - drive to Boston and sell them. It would be worth the several thousand dollars.
