Europe's Answer to Tri-Lams

Continental Nerds: "Were building this supercollider dealie...the temperatures created in the particle collisions will be around one billion times that of the center of the Sun."

Me: "Gwaaah?"

Freaking nerds are awesome, if they can pull this off (because though it doesn't seem like it's in question, they did say [with a pinky in their mouth] one BILLION times hotter). I also enjoy that the mystery matter is known as "the God particle," because you know my method:
Religion -> make-believe,
Science -> true understanding,
Me -> prefers to largely ignore both of them.

Go nerds. Fire the laser.

Particles have mass? I didn't even know they were Catholic, [groan]. Sounds cool, though I suspect that one day scientists will develop a machine which accidentally destroys the earth, if not the universe. And who'll be around to give those scientists a prize then? Nobody, that's who.

"If my memory serves me, this is the physics department."
"That would explain all the gravity."
