The media is biased in favor of Bush. Woo, more anti-everything crap from Chris. But, here me out...well, see me out here. Now, what's wrong with the pie graph?
Posted by Chris at October 14, 2004 06:02 PMGah! Fuck! They fixed it. Now, I look like the raving idiot you all know I am. Here's the original images (you might need to scroll down to the Thurs. 10/14 posts).

As this full-page ad [PDF warning] in the NY Times suggests, Gallup fails to account for specific voter turnout as related to a voter's party. In recent years, more and more new voters are Democrats, and some believe that the results should be weighted as such. Gallup currently does not factor in party affiliation, so a higher percentage of Republicans respond to the poll questions when compared to the percentage of Republicans that actually vote. Gallup defends their current position, which allows for a more accurate representation of the current attitudes of Americans, but might fail to give an accurate picture of who would win the election.

I would imagine that in this election, those in the past who may not have been likely voters will turn out. A troubling note about the ad Rick posted is that Democratic voters turned out in higher numbers than Republicans and Bush won anyway. Sort of.
