I think I am a tad late to this, but I at least think it warrants reading, though not a protracted discussion. Anyway, it seems as though in justifying raised terror alerts, the US leaked sensitive information revealing the capture of someone who was allegedly a double agent cooperating with anti-terrorism efforts, and thereby compromising those efforts.
