A church had a mass baptism at a water park in Wichita Falls, TX last Sunday. Is this what your people do for fun, Fatty? Anywho, I just thought it was funny. And you don't see much news coming out of Wichita Falls. Which I just realized needs a cool nickname. Like "W-town", but a lot more clever.

I guess it didn't hurt anybody, and it's a privately owned park, so go ahead and do whatever you want. It's just strange living in the Bible Belt.
Posted by: Fatboy at July 20, 2004 06:07 PMAs far as the nickname goes, I can't think of a good one. People around here shorten it to "Wichita," and drop the "Falls," but that's not really that cool. Kind of confuses non-local people, too, when they think you're talking about Kansas. The only other "nickname" we have for it is to mis-pronounce Wichita as Wi-cheetah... I don't live in a very cool town.
