Obviously I am a little late to this story, but last Tuesday, VP Dick Cheney used the "F-word." As interesting as that may be, considering the new FCC regulations and the possibility that this aired on C-SPAN, it should be noted that Bush, Cheney & Kerry have all been documented as having used the flowery word, in a venue where it was available for public consumption, before. Perhaps more interesting is the fact that the Washington Post printed the word in their newspaper. Here is a Post piece about the Post's decision to print the word. And finally, Cheney defending his use of the word. Personally, I would like to see more politicians telling each other to perform various acts upon themselves, even engage in a game of snaps, perhaps on some kind of pay C-Span channel, but that's just me.
Posted by John at June 28, 2004 04:45 PMSince I'm here to rep the extreme left wing, even if I disagree with most XLW policies, I hereby demand Cheney be fined, fired, etc. Janet showed a pasty-covered nipple, but we all have nipples. Cheney disgraced the blah blah blah.
Seriously, what did Kerry say? The only thing I can remember is the "controversy" created when he told a bunch of Union workers that the Bush admin was "crooked." Phew, what filth. I remember Bush calling Adam Clymer a "major league asshole" by accident, so that makes the score War-Mongering-Greedy-Bastards 2, Kerry 0.
Edit: Bush called the guy a MLA on purpose, we only heard it by accident. Snoogins.
Posted by: Chris at June 28, 2004 06:19 PMKerry used the F-word during an interview with Rolling Stone back in December. But he used it in a casual statement, instead of telling someone to "fuck off".
So let's say it's Heartless seal clubbing neo-cons 2, Kerry ½.
