Poker

Since it is all the rage now-a-days, and we are playing again tonight, figured I would toss this article out there for everyone. Not everyone reads ESPN like I do, figured it appealed to others. Anyway, there is a way to buy into the Foxwoods $10,000 November tournament for only $60. And if someone figures out how much he won on his A-A hand, let me know. He just kind of stopped there. Or I am an idiot. Either way. Off to play poker at work. Brilliant!

In other poker news, Ben Affleck won a poker tourney today. So, congrats to him I guess, since he knocked out some good pros (Amir Vahedi and Stan Goldstein, both of which have played final tables in the World Series) This turned out much better than Affleck's 1-day WSOP appearance this year...

You guys are hooked, too? My dad has been watching and playing poker consistently for at least a year now- he was actually ahead of the game for this wave?! The Benedict boys (Bry's former house) played non-stop and I thought they were just addicts in general and gambling was simply something else to suit their addictions... but apparantly it really IS all the rage. I do enjoy watching (not so much playing) a good game of Texas Hold 'em, but anything else seems to lose my interest. Don't take too much of each other's money! By the way, I don't know if I should be impressed or ashamed with myself that I know exactly what WSOP stands for without any hesitation at all. I love that it's summer and I once again have time to stalk all of you through this website. I love being a teacher :)
