Mr. and Mrs. Lewis

So Fatty got hitched this weekend in Texas. Since we're now stealing ideas from H-Town crew, I'll just get the H/L list:

Highlights

  • Eating at the fast-food joint called Whataburger. I had a Whataburger Whatameal, and the J had the Whatachick'n. I wish I was making this up. Whatastupid name.
  • "I'm new at this" - said by the minister several times during the rehearsal.
  • Getting homebrewed beer, wine, and some non-homebrewed champagne from Fatty. Awesome gifts.
  • The wedding involved a lasso. Too bad it wasn't the Texas rope kind, more like the religious jeweled kind, but still, it was called a lasso.
  • I didn't fuck up my best man speech
  • While playing asshole in a hotel room, we found someone's underwear in the bedcovers... and it didn't belong to the guy who was staying in that room (this is a highlight because it wasn't my room).
Lowlights
  • Not getting to walk around Dallas
  • In what I hope doesn't become a trend, I didn't get wasted.

The J took about 15 pictures, and there were lots of other pictures taken by others (including the Lewis family and all of their digital cameras), so I'm sure we'll see some on Fatty's site when he gets back from Tahiti).

The pics should be ready by tomorrow, and I got them put on a cd so they can go up on the site. This includes pics from the H-town pub crawl as well. Another highlight from the trip-Michelle and I getting seriously buzzed off margaritas two hours before the wedding.

--seeing Buffalo on the side of the road
--John and I riding in a Volvo S40 alongside MANY pickup trucks
--eating at Denny's at 10 on Friday night
--Stopping to take our pictures on the side of the road at a Neon Pink Cowboy Rodeo Restaurant
--Dancing at the wedding reception
--Rick taking Judy's shoes - many times
--Laying out at the pool
--Sunset on Friday night
