Atlantic City

I imagine that several people that read this site are going to Atlantic City this weekend, so you might be interested in Blackjack Odds. Rick may have better links.

That's a good link. Blackjack is not only one of the easiest casino games to play, but with minimal effort, you can get the house edge down to under 1% (meaning you lose $1 for every $100 bet in the long run).

If you just get to know the first 10 rows of this strategy, customized for AC casinos, you'll do fine, since those situations pop up 85% of the time.

Or as I like to call it - Rick's Magical Reference Card. Use is to play online and coach yourself up.

I plan on losing entirely too much money, but just would like to prolong the losing of it.

Oh yeah, that hitorstand.net page is great for practice, so use it, since the minimum bet will be $10 when we go. And you can use the card at the table - even card counting is perfectly legal in AC. You can also ask friends what to do, so everyone should be okay as long as they don't play alone and drunk. Like I did in New Orleans once. Net loss: my entire bank account, save $14 (ATM only dispensed twenties). And the girl who I was hitting on the whole time? Went looking for her husband. Oops.

Please tell me that your bank account was already low.

Eh, a few hundred. Not huge, but certainly enough for me to remember to not play drunk anymore.
