FOX is doing it again

Have you guys seen the commercials for the FOX shows coming out this summer? Is there any way they can get any worse? (and by worse I mean so bad that I'm going to watch them).

The list:

  • Method & Red - Method Man and Redman move into a gated community with Meth's mom.
  • The Simple Life 2 - Giggidy giggidy giggidy. x2.
  • The Casino - Okay, this one looks good. Two 34-year-old friends take control of the once-great Golden Nugget casino in Vegas. Hopefully we see dead bodies. Or at least stippers.
  • The Next Great Champ - A reality series (gasp!) that tries to find the next boxing champ as contestants wail on each other.

I am a little disappointed to see that the Method Man & Redman show is a sitcom, but I will be sure to watch that a couple times. The boxing show seems to be a substantial rip-off of The Contender.

Could be worse. I read UPN was making a comeback. They will be airing Knight Boat Saturdays at 7, and Gumbel to Gumbel 5 nights a week.

Awww, there's always a fjord. Or an inlet.

What're the plans on McFarlane's new show and the 25 new Family Guys? When is the Simpsons going to end? Where's my beer?

The Meth and Redman thing looks atrocious. This coming from a guy who likes How High alot. How can you have this show with no swearing??? And probably no weed. Awful.

The casino one though, I admit, is intriguing. When we saw this the other night, Rick said "Well, they probably won't show you too much". True, they aren't going to tell you how to pull an Ocean's Eleven, but I am really curious to see how the casino runs. How they set odds, and track customers. We will see how in depth they go. Chances are they will just throw a whore with clear heels in the middle of two people and see who nails her first. Which is fine, but I have HBO for that.

Heh. I saw a commercial for the Meth/Recman thing. The first words out of thier mouths were "Hooty Hoo."

I believe Pat hit the nail on the head with "atrocious."
