For those that don't check out Fark or The Smoking Gun, there's a hilarious bit about how people are complaining to the FCC concerning a recent Oprah show that had explicit sexual dialog. Since most of the people that complained were urged to do so by Howard Stern, there were a lot of funny letters sent in.

Classic.

You know the FCC wouldn't give two shits if this weren't an election year. Censoring media according to standard Christian-Conservative values equals more votes for Republicans from the elderly and everyone between the Missippi River and the Rocky Mountains. And, it distracts everyone away from the record deficit, unemployment, pair of failed military operation in the MEast, blah blah blah.
I'm glad it made it to Oprah. It's one thing to fine guys like Stern who essentially ask for it, but the people that support sanctions the most are the type of people that fucking watch Oprah. Maybe this is what it takes to curb all this idiocy.
I will not disagree with the "turn the channel" argument. I agree 100%. I just chose to poke fun at how things usually go here on the website. People who get upset over shit they listen to for 10 minutes, should have changed the channel/station before then. Lots of people's skin is waaaaaay too thin. Of course, i am speaking as a guy with no childern, and pretty much nothing in the g-friend department. Unless beer is dating...then I am available.
