Rack him, he's out

The Tony Kornheiser radio show is over. I know some of you don't care, but I also know there are some of us that care a lot. I guess the reason some of enjoyed him so much is that he is the kind of person we can see ourselves becoming. Even though he is old, bald, has a paunch and is neurotic, somehow Mr. Tony makes it seem like that's not such a bad thing. So now, I guess I will be a little bit crankier every day at work since I won't be getting my medicine, but now at least I'll be able to go to lunch whenever I want because I won't be missing any of the show.

It really is a sad day. I switched jobs partly so I could listen to this show. I picked a different office in this building to make sure I had radio reception, so I could listen to this show. It was about so much more than sports. And completely unlike any other show on radio that I have ever heard. Hopefully it will come back on 980/1260 in the near future, otherwise I will hate my job even more.

Tony's show ending.....stinks.

I remember when he first announced that they weren't going to do the show anymore. I feel like you guys. As far as the show coming back, I think it was his decision not to do it anymore. He said he was spread too thin, much like his hair, etc....

Hopefully he'll change his mind and want to do it again, or perhaps Kenny Mayne will be filling the void in the radio schedule.

The new guy is some fella from Portland. Apparently it won't be a hard core sports show, which I think is good. I think TK's biggest beef was with ESPN Management, but time was a problem. A local show would probably be 10 times easier, and he can just bail whenever he wants and let Andy Polley run the thing.

It is a sad event. I didn't switch jobs or office buildings, but I always liked it when I was in the office alone and I could listen and I dreaded it when someone would walk in and I'd feel obliged to turn it down. In spite of the planned nature of the show, what with guests and topics he wanted to talk about, it was really a live show. Discussions would reveal the real, raw Tony, and that was always the best part. Here's hoping we haven't heard the last of the Tony Kornheiser show. awww Tony Tony (hey)Tony Tony.
