It seems like the postings are some kind of photo scavenger hunt or something.

I haven't run it by my Mom yet - a native Dutch speaker - but I believe the site is some sort of scavenger hunt...for example, the description over the fish picture says something like "Next project - a fish in hot water."

Anyway, your picture is a response to the "hunt request" directly above it, which reads something like, "Belgians in a bar drinking beer near the Eiffel Tower."

I think your description goes, "It counts for the beer, did anyone ever get pics of a Polar Bear?"

So, literally, the people in the photo - that means you - mean nothing to the site, only that a Euro beerseller is pictured.

Interestingly, though, I think the site may be a shot at everone in the pics. It mocks the two boys for holding hands, and the thred is titled "missing the blade III," which I think is like "missing the point." Which is probably a Dutch thing that equates to common American usage of "gay." If that's the case, you so belong on that site. Of course that's just speculation...queer.

I found out that the Systransoft page will translate entire web pages from Dutch to English.

And John's right - some sort of completely random image hunt. One guy mentioned someone drinking in the Eiffel Tower, some other guy says the don't sell beer, and the one guy posts your pic proving they do. Then they all say "bork! bork! bork!"

Yay Swedish Chef! Just the thought of him makes me laugh. Bork!

Wow. I do a respectable job of translating a Dutch webpage by my own self, show everyone how to say "Fatboy is gay...he will suck your dick for five dollars" in Dutch, and who gets the props? A damn muppet. I am so tearing down the Henson statue by Stamp tomorrow.
