Bottom of the 8th - 1 out

So - 8th inning, 1 out. I saw it turn HORRIBLE for my Cubbies in game 6 (thanks to Bernie Mac.... assjew). So tonight (even though I am cheering for the Yankees) - I saw the Sox had gotten 1 out in the 8th -- and you just knew it was coming...

Pat, I was tempted to call you every time the yanks shortstop came up: "JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETEEEEEEEER"

Anyway - fuck the fish, go Yankees.

Well Chad, at least you're not alone in blaming Bernie Mac for the Cubbies' loss. But c'mon... cheering for the Yankees?

Chad, you are such a hater. Although I think you should put money on the series, you know, so you can have a little more agony. Try here.

"Don't answer me back. Get with the guys that keep the Dice Man rolling...Ooooooohhhh."

Chad, you are cheering for the Yankees? Well then your Battier jersey should be arriving shortly.

As for the Yankees, they are like the rich arrogant kids at school. But the Yankees are the richest and most arrogant. And their fans are that child's mother, who is either too ignorant to understand why her child is resented, or chooses to revel in her own fortunate situation and the less fortunate one of others. Neither are particularly admirable.

What bias?

Two boys are playing hockey on the pond on Boston Common when one is attacked by a vicious Rottweiler. Thinking quickly, the other boy took his hockey stick and managed to wedge it down the dog's collar and twist, luckily breaking the dog's neck and stopping it's attack. A reporter who was strolling by sees the incident, and rushes over to interview the boy.

"Young Bruins Fan Saves friend from Vicious Animal..." he starts writing in his notebook.

"But, I'm not a Bruins fan," the little hero replied.

"Sorry, Since we're in Boston, I just assumed you were," said the reporter and starts again.

"Red Sox Fan Rescues Friend from Horrific attack..." he continued writing in his notebook.

"I'm not a Red Sox fan either!" the boy said.

"I assumed everyone in Boston was either for the Bruins or the Red Sox. So, what team do you root for?", the reporter asked.

"I'm a Yankees fan!" the child! beamed.

The reporter starts a new sheet in his notebook and writes:

"Little Bastard from New York Kills Beloved Family Pet."

This thread might be done now, but if someone doesn't understand the people who root for these teams, read this article by The Sports Guy. He is a diehard Sox fan. Classic lines:

You have to write something tonight?" my father said, incredulous. "Jesus. I'm going to bed."

"You can go to sleep right now?" I asked.

"Of course not. I'm just too depressed to do anything else."

Pat, all I have to say to that is this.
