Where is my minute by minute Isabel update. I logged on expecting to see something about the hurricane that apparently is hanging out in the Mid-Atlantic. Someone should keep some kind of running diary, a la the Sports Guy. Anyways, I hope you're all ok, and hopefully wasted by now.
Posted by John at September 18, 2003 03:55 PMHurricane? You call this a hurricane? Sure the rain's loud, but I can still hear the sirens over it and we still have power. Incidentally, I'm at home reading, knowing full well that when the power goes off I'm gonna get tanked and pass out.
Posted by: Roy at September 18, 2003 04:25 PMSo we lost power at home around 6 pm last night. McCreary was over, so we all sat around and got tanked (we made hurricanes). Lots of blackjack.
Drunken ideas we almost implemented:
1) Slip and Slide in the backyard with trashbags and a tarp
2) Driving Chad's Explorer around with a rope attatched to the trailer hitch and Rick holding onto it, sitting on a garbage can lid.
3) Throwing 2 30-pack boxes off the balcony to see which one would fly farther.
4) Football ala Northern Illinois.
Unfortunately, we have power at work, so I had to come in. Pat is hungover.
Posted by: Pat at September 19, 2003 09:30 AMAnd just so everyone knows, I'm hung over as well. But I'm glad to be at work because I can go on the internet here, and we're having a BBQ today for some reason.
