Showering in the dark

So our apartment complex has been without power since the storm, and it has already started to take it's toll. I came home last night sometime after midnight to find Mr. Fisher and Mr. Shafer sitting on the back of the Explorer. Just sitting and drinking. Not that I'm being judgmental -- I joined them for a while. God forbid, however, that we would ever to go several days without power. They would find the three of us dead on the floor amidst a sea of scented candles and a Persian cat sitting in the corner. Then my family would not only have to deal with my loss, but they would probably start questioning my sexuality to boot.

So - do normal people's brain's work like this? I get home. No power. No roommates. Cellphone doesn't work. I think to myself - "Well, time to light some candles, sit on the couch, and drink 80 pitchers of beer."

I think that the natural assumption would be that you were killed by the Persian cat.

Oh yeah, we're drinking. Trying to kill the 1/4 of it left so we can get a fresh one for tomorrow. Thank got the dispensing part is gas-powered.

And it went out again last night for around 2 hours. I am glad we had Mike's inverter at the apartment, it helped to pass the time. Hopefully it will all stop soon. Oh, and we did finish the keg. Go us!

Our power was only down about 30 minutes during the last few storms...thankfully, I had the presence of mind to save Madden mid-game, so my 83-3 embarassment of Oakland remained intact. I don't know what I would have done had I lost those 4 defensive TDs.
