Terp Cuts

It is indeed a sad day. Brooks Barnard was cut by the Bears (presented by Bank One). I, for one, think the Redskins should now sign him. But that is probably being selfish. No other Terps have been cut yet, not until tomorrow anyway, when Chris Downs and Scooter Monroe most likely get the axe (damn you Duce Staley).

Most of you reading this don't care. But Daddy does.

Update:

  • Scooter was cut on Saturday by the Eagles
  • Charles Hill was cut by the Texans

    Check em all out here.

We need someone to hit Brad Maynard in the shin with a telescopic baton. I think the Ravens punter sucks, maybe they will pick him up. I hope so, because I can at least say Brooks' last name.

Not knowing how he's performed in camp, I'm kinda surprised Brooks was cut. First of all, he's clearly got the leg (but maybe he's too slow getting the ball away?) and second he's young so he's cheap, which I think would have aided him landing a job.

He was averaging over 43 yards a punt. But he has Maynard in front of him. Who knows where his punts were going though. Could have been 2 70 yarders outkicking his coverage, followed by a 22 yard shank or something. It stinks...

whoa whoa whoa, daddy's talking about different ways to obtain the same average...looks like he's ready for EDMS 451 with me.

Oh, I am going to be there. Unless the class is taught by a jew.
