From time to time I see something on campus that makes me glad I'm around this university all the time: religious zealots, girls making the walk of shame, etc. But every once in a while, I see something that makes me think it's time to go. I was reading the diamonback today, specifically an editoral piece by a junior commenting on the governor's remark about the university being a good deal. The author mentioned what really qualify as good deals: 12 packages of Ramen noodles for $1, Friday night O's tickets for $5, and Dollar Bud night at Cornerstone. That's right, Cornerstone. I remember back in the day when Dollar Bud night used to mean the Fe. In the good old days, Bentley's was the jock bar, Cornerstone was the Greek bar (well, more Greek than the others anyway), and the Fe was...well the Fe was good for three things: Mardi Gras, Half-way to Mardi Gras, and Dollar Bud night. But times have changed, the bars have morphed into one another, and the campus, not to mention me, is the worse for it.

I'd like to think that if it had a better name a lot more girls might have done it in college. I can't think of any clever names right now. The best I could come up with is the Post-frolic Stroll.
